Hardware Engineer:
Job Description
Candidate will be responsible for the design and development of automated inspection, measurement and test systems. This will include component selection, schematics, testing, troubleshooting, schedule adherence, cost, performance and quality. Applications and must be able to interact well with clients during all phases of the system integration process. This position requires some travel but is centered around the Raleigh-Durham, NC area.
Job Requirements
Qualified individuals will have the following minimum requirements:

BS in Electrical Engineering
-
5+ years of relevant experience
-
Ability to use schematic capture tools
-
Solid understanding of the operation of data acquisition fundamentals (for example plug-in data acquisition cards, RS232, GPIB, PXI devices and signal conditioning of various sensors)
-
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills to include using a multimeter, oscilloscope, and soldering iron
-
Willingness to contribute ideas and work closely with Software Engineering and Fabrication staff

Strong desire to learn and expand knowledge and skills
-
Ability to multi-task and take initiative
-
Solid written and verbal communication skills

| Software Test Engineer:
Apex based G2 Technologies has full-time opportunities for Senior Software Test Engineers. Responsibilities include full-life cycle application development of computer-based complex production test systems using LabVIEW.
Qualified individuals will have the following minimum requirements:

BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other engineering discipline

7+ years of industry experience with designing and developing software applications that run complex production test systems.

Significant LabVIEW development experience

Solid understanding of the operation of data acquisition fundamentals (for example plug-in data acquisition cards, RS232, GPIB, PXI devices and signal conditioning of various sensors)

Exceptional troubleshooting and debugging skills

Relational database experience
-
Knowledge of full life cycle development methodologies

Strong desire to learn and expand knowledge and skills

Solid written and verbal communication skills

Willing and available to travel 10% of the time.
The following additional skills and experience are a plus:

Fabrication Technician:
Experience in building test equipment using industry standard assembly practices and techniques. For example, building wire harnesses, soldering, fixture assembly, and enclosure integration using accepted assembly practices. Candidate must have 2+ years of technical training or equivalent and have a good understanding of electrical theory. Candidate must have a strong attention to detail and great communication skills. Candidate will be required to travel and interface with customers on a regular basis.
